HackRead - Psychology and Behaviour
In 2009, a paper titled ‘A Behavior Model for Persuasive Design 1’ presented a model for understanding human behaviour.
The author BJ Fogg, aptly called it Fogg Behaviour Model or FBM in short.
According to this paper, behavior is a product of three factors: motivation, ability, and triggers.
What does the FBM model say?#
With the proper trigger, those with high ability and motivation are likely to perform their tasks.
When these three factors occur at the same moment, you have the highest chance at success!
With HackHerd, we will work on our goals together.#
By learning and hacking in a herd, you will:
- be sufficiently motivated
- have the ability to perform the behavior,
- be triggered.
And achieve your goals!
